the impact of moral, spiritual and cultural intelligence on the dimensions of women’s familial functioning

this study is aimed at investigating the impact of training moral, spiritual and cultural intelligence on the dimensions of women’s familial functioning. the research method is quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design and a control group. the population consisted of all the women attending counseling centers in islamabad gharb, iran in the year 2014. using the availability sampling technique, 20 subjects were selected and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups of ten. the experimental group received ten sessions of training on moral, spiritual and cultural intelligence. each session lasted two hours and the sessions were hold twice a week for the experimental group. the data collection instrument was family functioning questionnaire. analysis of the data using multivariate analysis of covariance (mancova) showed that training moral, spiritual and cultural intelligence has a significant impact on the dimensions of women’s familial functioning (problem-solving, roles, communication, emotional support, emotional association and behavior control). in general, the findings indicate that training moral, spiritual and cultural intelligence need to be included in family and couples training programs
